Passed by Kentucky's General Assembly in 1990, the Kentucky Education Reform Act reinforced Kentucky’s constitutional requirement to “provide for an efficient system of common schools throughout the state.” After 18 years of reform, parents and employers want to know why many Kentucky students still cannot satisfactorily read, write and apply mathematics.

The following school districts are either currently under "No Child Left Behind" sanctions or have schools that are under consequences because of persistent under-performance: Visit the district page to view more information about the district and the schools in it.
