Although it is not reported often today, there are many instances of government acting responsibly: within it's means and respecting the constitution. The evaluation chart
The chart we use to analyze these government actions takes into account whether the action was constitutional, transparent, efficient, has obvious ownership, and if it created or reduced the amount of government. Courts Striking Down Website Seizure
In 2009, Governor Steve Beshear attempted to seize website domains related to online gambling. The ordeal resulted in a legal struggle that ended with the courts siding with the owners of intellectual property and denying the overreaching arm of government. Read more here.
