Kentucky District 26

Born Dec. 23, 1947, Sen. Ernie Harris (R) represents District 26, which covers Carroll County, Henry County, part of Jefferson County, Oldham County and Trimble County. Harris earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Kentucky, and earned a master's degree in management from Webster University (Missouri). He also served in the United States Air Force, retiring as a lieutenant colonel. Harris now works as a UPS pilot and farmer. He is a member of the Oldham County Chamber of Commerce, Oldham County Farm Bureau, Oldham Co Fair Association and American Legion Post 39. Harris has served in the Kentucky Senate since 1995.
