Born Aug. 25, 1935, Rep. Melvin Henley (D) represents District 5, which covers Calloway County and part of Trigg County. He was in the United States Air Force from 1954 til 1958. Henley graduated from Murray State University with a Bachelor's degree and a MBA. He lated received his PhD. from the University of Mississippi. He is a business owner, and is a member of the Murray-Calloway County Chamber of Commerce and the United States Chemical Society. Henley has served in the Kentucky House of Representatives since 2005.
