Instruction In Audits

Academic Performance Instruction is the third standard measured on the Kentucky Department of Education school audits. Within this standard, there are eight indicators used to measure whether the school is successfully achieving results. The following indicators were taken from the Department of Education Audit School Level Descriptors and Glossary. [1]

  • Evidence that effective and varied instructional strategies are used in all classrooms
  • Instructional strategies and learning activities are aligned
  • Instructional strategies/activities are consistently monitored...diverse student population
  • Teachers demonstrate content knowledge
  • Evidence teachers incorporate the use of technology
  • Instructional resources are sufficient to deliver curriculum
  • Teachers examine and discuss student work
  • Homework is frequent and monitored, tied to instructional practice
