Kentucky District 21

Born Dec. 29, 1948, Sen. Tom Jensen (R) represents District 21, which covers Estill County, Jackson County, Laurel County, Menifee County and Powell County. Jensen earned a bachelor's degree from Cumberland College (now University of the Cumberlands) and a law degree from Salmon P. Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky University. He is an attorney, and is a member of the Kentucky Bar Association and Laurel County Bar Association. He is also a member of the Masonic Lodge and is a Shriner. Jensen has served in the Kentucky Senate since 2005. He served in the Kentucky House of Representatives from 1989 until 1996, and was the minority floor leader 1991 through 1994.
