Born February 20, 1938, Rep. Jody Richards (D) represents District 20, which covers part of Warren County. He received his bachelor's degree from Kentucky Wesleyan and his master's from the University of Missouri. He also attended Indiana University. Richards owns Superior Books, and is enlisted in the U.S. Army Reserve. He has served in the Kentucky House of Representatives since 1976, and was the Speaker of the House from 1995 until 1998 and again from 2006 until 2008. Richards was a candidate for governor in 2003 and 2007. He was the majority caucus chair from 1987 until 1994.
