Born May 21, 1948, Rep. Jim Wayne (D) represents District 35, which covers part of Jefferson County. Wayne earned a bachelor's degree from Maryknoll College, a master's degree from Maryknoll School of Theology, and another master's degree from Smith College School for Social Work. He is the president of Wayne Corp., a company based out of Louisville, Kentucky. Wayne is a member of the Louisville Coalition for the Homeless, Kentucky Society for Clinical Social Work (former president), National Association of Social Workers, Metropolitan Housing Coalition and the Airport Neighbors' Alliance Inc. He is also on the Kentucky Housing Policy Committee. Wayne has served in the Kentucky House of Representatives since 1991.
