Graduation and Dropout Rate
Figure 1 shows a comparison between the county's graduation rates and the state average graduation rates for a five year period. The chart in figure 2 above shows dropout rates for the Barren County Public School district. In the five years from 2003 and 2007, the county recorded dropout rates higher than the state average dropout rate. The highest dropout numbers are recorded in 2005 followed by 2007, the same school years when graduation rates in the county tumbled.
