Gooch, Jim
Born April 13, 1951, Rep. Jim Gooch (D) represents District 12, which covers part of Daviess County, part of Hopkins County, McLean County and Webster County. His professional career includes being the district manager of an insurance company as well as co-owener of Western Kentucky Steel Construction Company Inc. He has been in the Kentucky House of Representatives since 1995. Before then, he served as mayor and city councilman for Providence, Kentucky. Gooch has served as president of multiple organizations at various times, including Providence Chamber of Commerce, Providence Jaycees and the Providence Ruritan Club. He has also served as vice president of the Kentucky Jaycees and worked in the state treasury. He is currently on the Webster County Airport board.
