Stein, Kathy
Born Jan. 31, 1955, Sen. Kathy Stein (D) represents District 13, which covers part of Fayette County. Stein earned a bachelors degree from Clinch Valley College, University of Virginia, and later earned a law degree from the University of Kentucky. She is an attorney. Stein is a member of Fayette County Domestic Violence Prevention Board, Americans United for Separation of Church and State, Governor's Council on Domestic Violence and Kentuckians for the Commonwealth. She is also on the board of trustees for the Ohavay Zion Synagogue, and on the adivsory committee for Appalachian School of Law. Stein has served in the Kentucky Senate since 2009. She served in the Kentucky House of Representatives from 1997 until 2008.
