Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government

The Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government (LFUCG) is the governing body for the city of Lexington and Fayette County. Both the Mayor's office and Urban County Council are directly elected by the citizens of the city.

LFUCG operates with the mission statement: "Working in partnership with the community to provide a safe and secure environment, excellent customer service, a vibrant organization, and economic opportunity empowering all to thrive."
