Kentucky District 3

Born May 3, 1946, Sen. Joey Pendleton (D) represents District 3, which covers Christian County, Logan County and Todd County. Pendleton works as a farm operations manager for Murray State University. He served in the U.S. Army National Guard from 1968 until 1972. He is a member of Kiwanis, Fraternal Order of Eagles, and the Christian County Democratic Association. He also serves on the executive committee for the North American International Livestock Expo and the national board for the American Jersey Cattle Association. Pendleton served as Christian County magistrate from 1990 until 1993. He has served in the Kentucky Senate since 1993, and was pres pro tem in 1990. He was also the minority whip 2005 through 2008.
