Vote Buying Scandal
Chester Jones, chairman of the Perry County Democratic Executive Committee and Sherman Neace, who served as Perry County judge-executive before losing were indicted on June 24, 2009 on counts of vote-buying after diverting $7,500 from the Democratic Party. [1]
