Whitley County, Kentucky is one of 120 counties in Kentucky.
Recent audit and deficit problems
The Whitley County Sheriff's Office was audited by state auditor Crit Luallen in 2009. The audits found serious mishandling of cash to the point of the audits being turned over the the FBI. When performing the audits it was revealed that the office did not keep records. Roughly $125,000 was missing from 2005-2007. [1]
