The chart in Figure 2 above shows dropout rates for Breathitt county public school district for five years from 2003 to 2007 in comparison to state average dropout rates. In 2005, the county recorded dropout rates that were lower than the state average, but for the rest of the years, the school district's recorded worse performance than the state average.
