Geoff Davis is the Republican representative from Kentucky's 4th congressional district. He currently serves on the Committee of Ways and Means.

Career History
Davis was born in Montreal, Canada to American parents, and attended the United States Military Academy. He served in the Middle East during the 1980s with the U.S. Army Rangers. Before running for the House, he worked as a consultant in the manufacturing field.
In 2002 elections, Davis had challenged Ken Lucas, the Democratic incumbent but was narrowly defeated. Two years later, however, Lucas declined to run, honoring a promise to serve only three terms. In the 2004 race for the open seat, Davis defeated his Democratic opponent Nick Clooney, father of actor George Clooney, in a race that had been rated as highly competitive by outside observers.

The Federal Reserve
Davis is a cosponsor of The Federal Reserve Transparency Act of 2009, which proposes an audit of the Federal Reserve. [1]
Foreign Policy
Davis voted AGAINST directing President Obama to remove United States Armed Forces from Afghanistan, pursuant to section 5(c) of the War Powers Resolution. [2]
Minimum Wage
Davis voted FOR an increase in the minimum wage under the Fair Minimum Wage Act of 2007. [3]
The PATRIOT Act
Davis voted FOR the reauthorization of the PATRIOT Act in 2005. [4]
Real ID Act
Davis voted FOR the Real ID Act in 2005. [5]
The Second Amendment
Davis received an A rating from the National Rifle Association (NRA) for the 2008 election cycle.
