Newport Independent Graduation/Dropout Rates

Figure 1 shows graduation rates for Newport Independent school district for a five year period 2003 to 2007 alongside state average graduation rates. From the chart, it is evident that Newport Independent school district recorded a decline in graduation in 2004. Note that there is only one high school in Newport Independent school district, Newport High School. The district's graduation rates are in fact graduation rates for Newport High School. Figure 2 shows dropout rates for Newport Independent for the five years from 2003 to 2007 alongside the state average dropout rate.
