Logan, When checking to see if the links to the PVA site on the transparency page work, they don't... I think it is due to how the PVA site is set up in the way that it searches for things. What do you want me to do about this? Take screen shots and upload them?

hey, here is a random suggestion that I thought I would throw your way... on the main page, it might be cool if there was an "article of the day" such as on Wikipedia. Also, it might be cool if there was a screen shot of some random page- it might be easy to get some sort of program to randomly select one every few minutes. it might be cool to have a construction link, where people can see the sorts of pages that we are working on.

logan, also, here is a problem that I have found: the fayette county PVA essentially has 2 different pages, that should be 1! here they are: http://www.freedomkentucky.org/index.php?title=Fayette_PVA http://www.freedomkentucky.org/index.php?title=Fayette_County_PVA further more, (and really the reason for the message) what can we do to keep this sort of thing from happening in the future? obviously, searching for a page before it is made would help, but is there anything else?

logan, I found this little tidbit... from what I get out of it, our city government says that it is only illegal for men to solicit prostitutes; should I post this as a stupid law?

Also, I just noticed that my links that I posted to the code ordinances didn't go directly to the part of the page that they were from (I was under the impression that the URL changed when you selected the section of code you wanted to view, like in a wiki) Do you know of a way that I can link to that a specific part of a page, so that people can still scroll around and view the other codes? (my aversion to a screen shot doesn't allow people to browse, after they have read the excerpt.) I don't know if that made much sense at all.

logan, Here is an example of what I am talking about. This is the link: http://library3.municode.com/default/DocView/11163/1/115?hilite=business;businesses;sign;signs;#0-0-0-2069/ This is the text: Sec. 14-20. Fortune-telling. (a) Any person who shall, for pay or compensation, claim, pretend or attempt to foretell the future, or predict coming events by means of fortune-telling, spiritualism, palmistry, phrenology or otherwise, or who shall, for pay or compensation, give or hold seances where the pretended spirits of deceased persons are brought into communication with living persons shall be fined not less than twenty-five dollars ($25.00) nor more than one hundred dollars ($100.00) for each offense. (b) Any person publishing any newspaper in the urban county who shall, for pay or compensation, publish any notice or advertisement of any person claiming or pretending to do any of the things mentioned in this section shall be fined not less than twenty-five dollars ($25.00) nor more than one hundred dollars ($100.00) for each offense.
